The Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management is designed for working professionals in law enforcement, corrections and victim services to assist with professional growth and career development. The 18-hour program is structured so it can be completed in a year, and it can be applied toward a Master’s degree in the future.
The College of Criminal Justice and Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Sam Houston State University were part of a Houston Police Task Force that received a national award, the Chief David Cameron Award for Excellence in Environmental Crime Enforcement and Education from the International Association of Chiefs of Police, for its work on an environmental case in Houston.
The Task Force also received the Chief of Police Commendation from Houston Chief Charles A. McClelland, Jr.
